Infrared Image An Infrared Inspection is for home owners or potential buyers who are concerned about any number of deficiencies including lack of insulation, water leaks and damage, air leaks , vermin infiltration and other issues within a home that are difficult to see with just the human eye.

Infrared Thermal Imaging systems detect light that is not visible to the human eye. Seeing and measuring this light or “heat radiation” allows us to diagnose building, electrical or mechanical deficiencies within a home.

Infrared Thermal Imaging can be used to detect the following problems. This service can be done in conjunction with another type of inspection.

• Water Leaks & Damage

Moisture in walls, ceilings or floors is often difficult to detect in its early stages. An infrared thermal imaging scan can detect moisture that is not yet apparent. Often we can identify the source of the leak and the damaged areas without unnecessary destruction. Eliminating water leaks is extremely important so as to reduce the risk of mold growth.

• Insufficient Insulation Systems

Infrared thermal imaging scan can also detect insulation deficiencies including missing and damaged insulation. Keeping the heat in your house is key to maximizing energy efficiency and missing sections of insulation can significantly increase your utility bills.

• Air Leakage

Air leakage through the outer wall of your home can account for significant wasted energy. Identifying air leaks enables you to properly seal these and reduce energy consumption and utility bills.
